Alright so I'm just going to say that this recipe was the BEST!!!!! Just do it!! Make them!! I could eat these forever and ever!! They were so simple to make it was ridiculous! The longest part was the oven roasted tomatoes but that was a snap! I'm not much of a cook so when I say something was easy it really is! I'm sooo going to make these again!!!
I know that there are a lot of marriage proposals out there and some of them with big elaborate schemes and some of them are simple but this one stood out to me because it had both. I loved that this man took the time and effort to incorporate friends and family into the proposal, but also I love that there were the notes that he wrote too. It had a fun side and a more serious side which I absolutely 100% loved! The love in both of their eyes was completely evident when he proposed and that says sooooo much to me!
I love Improv Everywhere but I thought that I'd include this new favorite of mine that they did because well I can and seriously the other people's reactions to them makes me smile a lot! (See also Food Court Musical and Frozen Grand Central Station)
Today I picked Fun for my artist. They have been around for a couple of years now with their chart-topper of We Are Young and now with Some Nights. They are very catchy tunes and very original sounding which I love!
I found this to be one of the most intriguing movies that I have seen. Some people might have pegged this as a boring or slow movie but I liked it maybe because of my speech pathology background or maybe because of the brilliant acting done by Colin Firth that made you believe that he actually stuttered or maybe it was that based on a true story or maybe it was that the speech pathologist became more than a friend and never gave up on Bertie even when he gave up on himself. So brilliant beyond brilliant from every actor and actress!! A++ from me!! Two thumbs up!!
I just got this great book from my grandparents for Christmas called The Best Places to Go by USA Today. Anyway, it's a book of random places to go when you want a good bbq, etc. But for today's fun fact I found that in Bethel, Maine they have an annual North American Wife Carrying Championship that are held every October! WHAT???!!!! Yes a Wife Carrying Contest!! So Husbands get building up those man arms of yours and lifting those wives of yours so you can go to this cute little town of Bethel, Maine for a great ole fun-loving time of competing in that championship!! I know I'm reaching back here in time but this was a brilliant arrangement by Coldplay that is still done by artists! Props to them! The music video was strange but hey what do I know? That is only my humble opinion! The music was brilliant with all those instruments! Simply gorgeous!!
Number one: I love Emma Stone!! Not only do I share her name but she is really hilarious and her movies rock my world!! Number two: The fact that she did this dance dare was great and that she got all those people was pretty incredible!! LOVE IT!!! Number three: I love the Ellen Show!!! Makes me laugh every time!! :)
Yes I went there!! I mean I just love Nick! He makes me laugh with his ability to sing both the girl and guy parts! I mean what? haha!! The man is a genius!! What a cool life he must lead!!! :)
I just found this awesome singer with his band a couple minutes ago! He is a local artist from the twin cities and I am all for that! I love his voice and the way he gets into his music- you can tell he really believes in it and I really love that! The seriously cool thing about this collection of songs is that all of them are different and none of them really sound the same!!! Go Jeremy!! I think I may have found a new favorite artist!! I have been in need of a new favorite!!
Today's entry is going to be dedicated to an awesome writer (one of my favorites!) who joined forces with another writer and came up with a great series! I'm in the process of reading the second book in the series and have been waiting forever for it to come out!! The first book Forbidden by Ted Dekker and Tosca Lee was so suspenseful that I think I finished in a 1 or 2 days and was really bummed to find out that in fact the second book wasn't due to come out for a few months!! MONTHS!!! WHAT??? Well now that I finally have it is just as good as the first I'm happy to report, well so far anyway! (Side note: I'm going to put a plug out there for Ted Dekker that anything by him absolutely ROCKS!!! Just saying. My absolute favorite was the Circle Trilogy but apparently he added a fourth book to it? So now it has Green in it which I haven't read so I can't vouch for that one but the other three are AWESOME!!!)

This is more of a praise than anything. I just realized this today, but it has been about a year since I had my last grand mal seizure! Praise God!! This is so great!!! I have a mild form of epilepsy and so I will have them every so often but I haven't had them like I previously mentioned in about a year! Wow God is so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know that I'm not a professional photographer by any stretch of the imagination but this is one picture that I recently took with my Canon T2i with my kit lense and a macro lense attached. I will add that I just got the macro lense for Christmas so I was playing around with it seeing what I could do with it. I happened upon my roommate's bamboo plant in our apartment and this was one of my favorite pictures from that day. :) I like the contrast between the background and the light on the plant. I've always been an up close and personal kind of photographer compared to the big picture kind of gal myself. Maybe that will change when/if I get a different kind of lense but for now this is what I've got and I love!
This was one of the most beautiful movies I have seen in a long, long time! And this song by Anne Hathaway had me in tears! I think I was like most of America when I say I had no idea that she could sing like that! Wow! She was by far the best actress/actor in the movie! I will be buying this when it comes out!
Pentatonix is my FAVORITE Band right now!!! I love everything they have put out!! But this song is my favorite one of their's right now, just the way they arranged it and AHHH!! Wow I got to see them when they came to Minneapolis and I was like the 5th person in line! Yup this is how big of a nerd I am! LOVE THEM!!!
I wanted to dedicate this post to those people who go through the drive-thru at Caribou Coffee and opt to do a random act of kindness by paying for the car behind them's drink too. When this first happened to me I was speechless; blown away in fact that someone would do this. I was like, You want to do what? and kind of looked at them blankly. But then they repeated it and paid for their drink. I always loved the responses from the people whose drink was paid for though. Most of the time it was confusion followed by Can I pay for the next person's drink then? I think it is so great! Minneapolis is such a great city with such great individuals! So to all those who pay it forward, may you be doubly blessed in all you do!!
Well I am starting this blog with the intention of finding something each day whether it be a new artist that I like or a new song or a funny video or just a piece of advice (which is likely because I'm learning a lot in the cooking sector of things!). Why am I doing this? you may ask. Well it is two-fold. One: I saw another blogger do this for just the music portion. I love music don't get me wrong but I'm not sure if I can come up with 365 songs, well, new ones that I've never heard before so that's why I decided to make it a mixed one. Two: I thought this would be a good way to make sure that I am being grateful for the things in my life. Example: If I find a good song that I like I can thank God for that song and the artist who created that song etc. I have found lately that I have not been very grateful in my attitude so I'm trying this approach, but as you can see I'm a little behind! So I'm going to play catch-up today and post 24 things to be grateful for/little discoveries! :D I'm excited!! Here we go!!!
